I'm Thankful but I won't have a Happy Thanksgiving without my food and/or my refund! Moreĭriving around Atlanta today, an urge hit me for soul food. And as someone who frequents black owned businesses, I'm beyond disappointed. Then it was the ovens went out last night. First it was limited staff due to the pandemic. Your staff members were throwing each other under the bus.
I don't want your frito lays! I don't want your Doritos. After waiting 2 hours, they had the nerve to offer a variety pack of chips and sodas. I don't get how you can takes hundreds of dollars from me and other customers, offer no refunds, and have zero structure to expedite delivery of this food to your patrons. later after not being called or texted and STILL WAITING.
Waited over 3 hours to get SIDES and still don't have my food. Only to be met with EXCUSES and an argumentative, unorganized staff. I placed an order a week ago and planned to pick it up thanksgiving eve. Thank you Melvin for such a wonderful experience, rich history, and delicious meals. Over 70 years later, this restaurant has transformed into a local favorite and an Atlanta staple for tourists across the country! Busy Bee's commitment to tradition and desire to invest in the community is the reason why they are still thriving long after the days of the Jim Crow Era. With limited socio-economic opportunities for African Americans during this time, black entrepreneurs invested in the area and created thriving businesses that grew and created promise for the community. during a time when Jim Crow Laws adamantly enforced segregation. Did you know that the Busy Bee Cafe’ is the ONLY business from segregation that started and still stands on Hunter Street (now Martin Luther King Drive)? The Busy Bee Cafe' started in 1947.
